Hmong Cultural Events

Chico is a town rich with many different cultures which contribute to the identity of this place. One of them is the Hmong people, and they have one of the most sizable populations here in the United States. Many of them arrived decades ago as refugees while fleeing the war in Vietnam after aiding US forces. Since then, they have shared their culture with Chico in the form of festivals, art, and other events. This summer, try to connect with this amazing culture by attending a lecture or activity and find out more about them at the Hmong Cultural Center of Butte County.
