Go back to the days of the Gold Rush by visiting the Colman Museum and Centerville Schoolhouse. This ode to the ’49ers is exemplified in the memorial museum in honor of one of Chico’s original ranch pioneers, D.B. Colman. In addition to gold mining equipment, visitors can see different cultural artifacts and tour the Centerville Schoolhouse. Also a gift from the Colman family, it is preserved as an example of a schoolhouse in the late 1800s.
